It's official- We've been here for a week!

We've been in Japan for a week and a day!
Wow, it's crazy because it seems like it has been so long, and yet the time flies by!
Today has been a bit of a restful day, as I think most Thursday's will be.

Monday night the Freshman girls gave us a Japanese culture lesson. We learned about Calligraphy, Origami, and Tea ceremony! It was so beautiful and a really fun time!

Tuesday we went sight-seeing with a graduate from BEST club. He had a few days off work and so he took us to Asakusa and Odiaba (which is a fake island with a BEAUTIFUL view of Tokyo and Tokyo Tower, and Tokyo Sky Tree). It was a really fun day of sight seeing, and learning about and seeing different parts of Japan. We were able to have great conversations with our Japanese friend. We discussed identity, and values in life. It was a really encouraging experience.

Yesterday we went to Lunch Table again, and it was fun to again to just get to know the students better. Then last night I went to Bible Night. We spent time talking about sacrificial love and joy.

That is just a quick update of what we've been doing! More details will come soon! :)

Learning Calligraphy!

yay! We made them! :)
