Enough

Enough is honestly a terrible word, except when saying that all of God is more than enough for me. I will never do enough, be enough, love enough, to be good enough or achieve perfection… Only Christ can be enough. Recently I’ve been tending to think that I’m not spending enough time with God, or not feeling close enough to him (especially as I prepare for Japan), but these words of a Christian song ring in my ears:

            “All of you is more than enough for all of me,

            for every thirst and every need

            you satisfy me with your love

            and all I have in you is more than enough!”

He is enough even though I will not be. And so my prayer is:

Lord, remind me that you are enough for me, remind me of the cross, so that once again I will strong striving to save myself and be good enough on my own.

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love.” -1 John 4:16-17

Back to Japan!

It is hard to believe that a little over a year ago, as I considered missions for my future, my mom and I flew to Tokyo, Japan to spend 2 weeks with out Missionary friends Mark and Jin Rood! Mark and Jin work for The Navigators and minister to college students doing BEST Club (Bible, English, Sports, Travel)

Now, a year later I will be heading back to Tokyo... I just couldn't stay away!

I fell in love with the Navigators ministry in Japan and I feel that BEST Club is an extremely effect way to reach students! As the year went on I thought more and more about the wonderful students I had meet, and I wanted to serve them and show them the love of Jesus. I heard about the opportunity to go with the Navigators through Summer Impact Japan ( http://www.summerimpactjapan.com/ ). So, I will be going back to Tokyo from June 18th- August 10th with a team of American Navigator students from California.

We will spend these 7 weeks building relationships with Japanese students, doing Bible studies,eating meals, playing English games, getting coffee, and just hanging out. We do all this with the hope of living out the gospel among these students. We want them to see what it is like to live life with Jesus.

" And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, "  -Colossians 4:3
