First of all, as you can imagine, we EAT alot here in Japan. I love Japanese food, my favorite is Gyoza (see previous post), and I enjoy yaki soba which we often make in our apartment. Our team has a new favorite place to eat: Ninnikuya Ramen. It is absolutely delicious ramen in a small little ramen shop run by one man who does it all himself. He is so kind to our team, and he has even started to keep track of how many times the boys on my team come.

We sometimes ride the monorail (kind of like a local train) to Tama Center to hang out, and we often ride the train to hang out with students or go sight seeing with them.
| Walking! That is an everyday activity! Hopefully we'll be in shape when we get home! |
Most mornings my teammate Kelly and I get up and make breakfast before heading to Chuo University or town (Tama Center) for hanging out, Bible Study, or personal time.

On Wednesdays and Fridays we go to Chuo for Lunch table (to practice English and hang out with the students).
One thing to note about lunch table is the EXTREME heat! Japan is very hot during this time of year, and lunch table is on the top floor of the cafeteria and there is no air conditioning... so we always use fans! :)

Wednesday evening we have Bible night, and Fridays we have Shaberanaito (Shabe). At Bible Night we discuss a topic and use passages from the Bible. We have recently discussed relationships, justice, and sacrificial love.
Friday nights at Shabe we all eat dinner together (Bring an obento (box dinner)), and then play an English game and then have discussion similar to the topics we discuss at Bible Night.

Another thing that I've been doing alot recently is "Intensive English" with my two partners. They are preparing speeches to give to the group in a few weeks. It has been really fun to get to know them and to learn more about the impact BET club has had on their lives. I've really enjoyed those times!
| Goofing off together, an activity we all love! :) |
Overall we spend alot of time together as a team, and enjoy times hanging out with students through various trips, meals, and events! This weekend (7/22) we went to the zoo.

Thank you all for thinking of me while I'm here! I am really loving it....
and one last thing about daily life in Japan:
HELLO KITTY!
